The
Sea Anglers' Conservation Network
The Sea Anglers' Conservation
Network is a 'free to join' network of over 250 members,
which includes a number of Sea Angling clubs, Federations
and other organisations with an interest in recovering
and maintaining a healthy marine environment.
With a membership largely drawn from the angling internet
community, SACN seeks to keep anglers informed of the
issues that concern them, and to mobilise their support
in obtaining representation of angling issues in the
various decision making processes, locally, nationally
and within Europe.
SACN have been closely involved in most of the angling
initiatives that have taken place in the last few years,
mobilising anglers through emails, internet discussion
forums and its website, and working closely with other
angling organisations such as the NFSA and BASS and
meeting and talking with politicians, fishery managers
and scientists and NGOs.
SACN's motto is 'Informing Anglers, Involving Anglers'
and wants every angler who cares to be part of that
team.
Moaning amongst ourselves achieves nothing, writing
and talking to those that have the power to change things
does.
